PhD Submission

I am delighted to share that I successfully defended my dissertation at Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich with the distinction "summa cum laude". Words fall short to express my gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I am grateful to my supervisors Prof. Dr. Stephan Lessenich and Prof. Dr. Henrike Rau for their mentorship and advice. I thank the Heinrich Böll Foundtation for their scholarship funding and the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society for welcoming me into an amazing community - academic and otherwise. I am also grateful for the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at the University of Melbourne during my fieldwork. My respect belongs to the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters which have nurtured me throughout this journey, in particular the Wurundjeri and Bunorong People of the Kulin Nation and the Gunaikurnai, Bidawal, Monaro and Yuin People of East Gippsland. I am incredibly lucky to have met so many wonderful people willing share their lives and stories with me - thank you so much to all of my interlocutors! I am also blessed with wonderful friends and family whos love and support is invauluable.
